About

A small hosting company that does its own engineering

Fidecloud is an Australian hosting and infrastructure business. We run the servers our customers sit on, build the networks and platforms underneath them, and answer the email when something needs looking at.

Why we exist

Hosting stopped having anyone behind it

Most hosting sold today is a reseller account with a logo on it. When something breaks, the company you pay has no more access to the server than you do, so you wait while a ticket is passed along a chain nobody will name.

Fidecloud is built the other way round. The infrastructure is ours, the configuration is ours, and the person reading your email is the person who can log in and look. That limits how fast we can grow, and it’s a trade we’re happy with.

How we work

The things we’ve decided to be strict about

No lock-in

Domains are registered in your name, data is yours to export, and configuration is documented. If you leave, we help you leave.

Quotes, not surprises

Work is scoped and priced before it starts. If something turns out to be bigger than expected, you hear about it before the invoice.

Plain answers

If a cheaper option would suit you better, or if what you’re asking for is a bad idea, we’ll say so rather than quote it happily.

Security as standard

TLS everywhere, patched systems, backups kept off the machine they came from. These are not upgrades on a pricing table.

Written down

What we build gets documented and handed over. Knowledge that only lives in one person’s head is a risk for both of us.

Within our depth

We take on hosting, infrastructure and networking. Work outside that gets referred on rather than learned at your expense.

Where we are

Australian, and reachable

Fidecloud is based in Australia and works with customers here and further afield. Support is by email, and it reaches an engineer rather than a queue.

We’re deliberately not claiming a head office full of staff or a decade of history. What we’ll tell you is what we run, how it’s built, and what we’ll do if it breaks — ask, and you’ll get a straight answer.
