Privacy policy

Short version: we use your details to answer you and to provide the services you ask for. We don’t sell them, and we don’t send marketing on behalf of anyone outside Fidecloud and the companies we’re related to or work with.

What we collect

When you contact us through the form on this site or by email, we collect what you give us: your name, your email address, a phone number if you choose to provide one, and whatever you write in your message. If you become a customer we also hold the details needed to provide and bill for the service, such as your business name, billing address and the domains or services you hold with us.

Our web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, and the site uses cookies for basic functionality and for any analytics you consent to through the cookie banner.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to your enquiry and follow it through to an answer or a quote.
  • To provide, support and bill for the services you sign up to.
  • To contact you about those services — renewals, maintenance, outages and changes that affect you.
  • To meet record-keeping obligations that apply to us.

Contacting you

By sending us an enquiry you’re giving us permission to contact you about it, and about the services we offer. That means Fidecloud, and the organisations Fidecloud is related to or partnered with, may get in touch with you.

We will not pass your details to unrelated third parties for their own marketing, and we don’t sell or rent contact lists to anyone. If you’d rather not hear from us again, say so in a reply and that’s the end of it.

Who else sees your information

We share your details only where it’s necessary to deliver what you’ve asked for — for example a domain registry when you register a domain, or a payment provider when you pay an invoice. Those parties get only what they need for that purpose. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Where it’s kept, and for how long

Your information is held on infrastructure we operate, with access limited to the people who need it. Enquiries that don’t become customers are kept only as long as they’re useful, and customer records are kept for as long as you’re a customer and afterwards for as long as we’re required to keep them.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, systems are patched and access is restricted. No system is perfect, and we won’t claim otherwise — but if something did go wrong that affected your information, we would tell you.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we’re not required to keep it. Email us and we’ll deal with it. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can raise it with us first, and if that doesn’t resolve it, with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page.
